ITINERARY
HANOI - ARRIVAL (-/-/-)
DAY 1 Meet on arrival at Hanoi / Noi Bai International Airport, transfer to hotel for check in. Rest of day at leisure. Overnight in Hanoi.
HANOI – FULL DAY CITY TOUR (B/L/-)
DAY 2 Visit Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum (closed on Mon/Fri and the whole month of Oct/Nov), and his former residence, One-Pillar Pagoda and the Museum of Ethnology (closed on Monday). Lunch at local restaurant. Continue to visit the Temple of Literature, Hoan Kiem Lake and Ngoc Son Temple, and discover the Old Quarter during a 1-hour cyclo ride.
In the evening you will attend the performance of the famous Vietnamese traditional art of water puppetry at Thang Long Theatre. Overnight in Hanoi.
HANOI – TAMCOC (DRY HALONG BAY)- HAIPHONG (B/L/-)
DAY 3 Drive to Tam Coc to visit “Halong Bay on land”, the limestone carsts seeming to grow from the rice paddy fields. Enjoy a boat ride through the winding stream, the rice fields and the spectacular scenery around Tam Coc caves. Lunch at local restaurant. Continue on to Haiphong. Upon arrival visit Du Hang Pagoda and Hang Kenh Communal House, both with fine examples of traditional woodcavings then transfer to hotel for checking in. Overnight in Haiphong.
HAIPHONG-CATBA- HALONG BAY- HANOI (B/L/-)
DAY 4 Take speedboat from Haiphong pier to Cat Ba Island. Board a wooden boat for a Halong Bay cruise. Discover Halong Bay, which is listed as a World Heritage Area of outstanding natural beauty. “Dragon descending to the sea” as it is known in Vietnamese, picturesque Halong Bay has more than 1,000 limestone islets rising from the sea, many of them containing beautiful grottoes. Fresh seafood lunch is prepared and served on boat. Afternoon drive back to Hanoi. Overnight in Hanoi.
HANOI- DEPARTURE (B/-/-)
DAY 5 Time at leisure until transfer to Hanoi / Noi Bai International Airport for your onward flight.

Our tour prices are inclusive of transfers and tours with English or French speaking guide, accommodation in shared twin rooms with air-condition and private bath room, meals as specified in the program (B=Breakfast, L=Lunch, D=Dinner), entrance fees, boat fees, cyclo fee.
Not included are surcharges for other language guides, surcharges for compulsory gala dinners during festive seasons and peak season surcharges, which will be advised at time of booking.
